About this speaker

Sam Morse is a cinematographer based out of Ogden, Utah.

A 13-year Air Force veteran, Sam started as an Air Force photographer and later branched into video production. In the civilian sector, he has been director of photography for a number of shoots for national and international brands, shooting for Beretta, Gander Mountain, Shell Rotella, Dr. Teal’s, Firestone and more. He currently works as a civilian video producer/director for the Air Force at the 2nd Audiovisual Squadron.

After moving to Utah, Sam dove into astrophotography, capturing library footage for the newly formed Space Force and learning deep space astrophotography in his spare time. He has also pushed the limits of low-light cinematography while filming night training operations for the Air Force Special Tactics Training Squadron.

In his spare time, Sam gives back as part of the Ogden Astronomical Society, speaking and demonstrating astrophotography at star parties throughout the summer months.
